Welcome to another Anime Gift Store blog post! Now, if you watch anime half as much as we do, you’ll know that there are many, many amazing (or super annoying) theme tunes. So today, I’ll be counting down my top ten, whether it’s because they’re simply great songs, or because they’re so catchy that I can’t get them out of my head.

10) ‘Zen Zen Zense’ from Kimi no na wa. This is a great movie, with an amazing soundtrack. I had this song stuck in my head for weeks after I watched the movie.

9) ‘Ignite’ from Sword Art Online. This one took a bit of getting used to, but by the fifth time I heard it, every word was learnt. It’s catchy and overall a great song.

8) ’Resonance’ from Soul Eater. This is a great opening, and had me humming the tune everywhere. It’s a great one to listen to on repeat.

7) ‘This Game’ from No game no life. This is arguably one of our favourite anime openings of all time, but we decided not to put it at the top of the list because it’s not as super catchy as the other ones.

6) ‘Unravel’ from Tokyo Ghoul. Classic opening. It’s got a great tune and is a song that you’ll want to listen to over and over again – quietly. Be aware of the loud rock music.

5) ‘Hikaru Nara’ from Shigatsu Wa Kimi no uso. This opening is just all around cheerful. It will be stuck in your head – but that’s not such a bad thing!

4) ‘Colours’ from Code Geass; Lelouch of the Rebellion. This opening is... self explanatory, in a sense. If you have heard this song once, your brain will make an immediate connection when you hear it again.

3) Now this is where it got hard. Our third pick is ‘Shingeki no Kyojin’ from Attack on Titan. This is a great opening, especially if you’re looking for a fast one for your playlist.

2) Let’s be honest. You saw this one coming. At number two, we have the English version of the ‘Pokémon theme tune’ from none other than Pokémon itself. The lyrics are easy to learn and impossible to get out of your head.

1) My last and final pick is ‘Again’ from Full metal Alchemist: Brotherhood. This opening, in my opinion, is the best  ever made.  It’s intriguing, it’s got a great tune and it never gets old.

So, do you have a favourite anime opening? We’d love to know. Comment below…
